What Others Are Saying

Average Rating

“A Story is Told” is compiled by Dave Branon and is a collection of stories from past issues of Our Daily Bread. The book is organized by topic and includes over three hundred entries. I read through the entire book but it is designed to be read at short intervals or even as a daily devotional. The stories are amazing as most are from Our Daily Bread, however I think it would be better utilized if it were written to be a year long devotional. The entries are organized by topic and the topics are in alphabetical order. It would be ideal for some to refer to if having some thoughts or issues with a particular topic. Topics range from aging to grace and thankfulness. It is a very inspiring book and not lengthy as written. Each entry can stand alone in meaning and significance. I enjoyed reading through the book, but I have used Our Daily Bread in the past as a devotion, so this was no surprise to me. I received a free copy of this book from Discovery House for review. I was not obligated to provide a positive review. The opinions expressed above are strictly my own.
