Doing Well At Being Sick — Living with Chronic and Acute Illness

If you or someone you know struggles with an acute or chronic illness, this book is a must. In it you will find much-needed help, hope, inspiration, and practical advice. Only a person who has walked the walk could write such a book, and Wendy Wallace more than qualifies. Over the past 20 years, though her body has suffered from a mind-boggling onslaught of afflictions, her spirit has grown strong. Wendy has gained many practical insights into the different issues that arise when illness becomes a lifestyle. Doing Well at Being Sick will encourage you and help you make wise choices, deal effectively with life in the face of illness, and glorify God in the midst of your circumstances.

The book was given to me as a gift...I am a suffer of chronic illness and it touch many things I am going through and to know someone else is going through the same thing and gave me some insight and encouragement..was such a blessing...it up lifted me to know I am not alone and to trust my faith..and it is okay to ask questions...so anyone who is going through an illness should read this book and their families...to help understand what one person can be going through. Thank you Wendy it has help me on this road I now must travel. JM Davidson

I have known Wendy Wallace for over 20 years as a professor, mentor and friend. She helped guide me through the health care system when I was faced with my husband’s illness. Her book is about hope, courage and faith. Every person who has a chronic health problem and everyone who has a family member with a chronic health condition, should read this book. It would also be very helpful for social workers and clergy. Wendy Wallace does not talk about her faith in God; she lives her faith every day. — Marilyn M. McLaughlin, LMSW, CSW, CT
