I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the book, 'Prayers for Prodigals'. I was walking thru Baker Book Store (Grand Rapids, MI) several weeks ago, just running in for something else, when this book cover jumped off the shelf at me. I stopped, picked it up, read the back, flipped thru the pages and bought it. I've been praying from it every nite for the last several weeks and absolutely LOVE IT! Whatever I'm going thru that day seems to be a part of that days prayer. When I finish the book, I'll start all over again and keep doing that until my son comes "home". I started a Prodigal Prayer group at church last fall, it was attended by only a few so this year we're going to try going online with a blog. I will include a link to your website and I'll strongly encourage others to pick up this book. Thank you for putting into words what our hearts have been struggling to. — Joan

When you don't have words...and your thoughts are a blur...when the ache in your heart is all you feel and all you know...you can pick up Prayers for Prodigals and use James Banks' words...inspired by God...to begin a prayer life on behalf of your prodigal children. It's like reading the Psalms when you don't know what else to read...you cry out to God using the words written for you...realizing that those very words in Psalms and Prayers for Prodigals are the words you need to bring to God.

When you've tried everything within human power to straighten out a wayward child, and it has not worked...you cry out to God and He begins the work needed to bring your child to his/her senses. James Banks will inspire you and guide you in your prayers for your child...a book that will certainly change the lives of prodigals...and also their parents! Praise God for His work in Prayers for Prodigals!
