I LOVED this book! Susan is such a good writer who is right to the point and one can see she has been through the problems the reader has also. I love the use of all the scriptures at the end of each chapter. I hope to get my sister a copy also.

I have been battling ovarian cancer and this book came at the right time. I brought much encouragement to me. I have shared some of her poems to others who are struggling. I love her phrase" Life is like licking honey off a thorn". I love her use of scripture and how we can bring our doubts, fears, and even our anger to the Lord and He wraps His arms around us and comforts us. Thank you Susan

This book is a compilation of Susan Lenzkes’s best poems and devotions written over the years, kind of like a “greatest hits” collection. Part 1, “Shining Like the Sun,” encourages readers through funny stories and uplifting thoughts. Part 2, “Standing Firm through the Storm,” shares the author’s heartache and talks about God's comfort during tough times. I benefited from reading the author's insights and enjoyed her stories. I hope she writes another book soon.

I read this book May 29th in one night. I did not like this book because I had to keep re-reading it in order to understand what the author was trying to say. It was all over the place and was so out of order. It was like she could not express what she was trying to say. She tried to use a higher place of reading for most people I think who read Our Daily Bread. Keep it simple and I think most ordinary people will get a lot more out of your books. I probably will not get another one of her books nor will I recomend it.
